Aggressive Refrain + Hero Monks
Oh come on, now 2 of my favorite builds are crippling the team because the damn hero has to waste energy removing this condition every 3 seconds. I haven't realized it until now because I've been playing my ele 90% of the time.
I can see why the -armor approach was added, but they need to change it into the form of something else. The skill is unusable now because of a bad side affect.

you can do a couple of things:
-left click on the condition removal skill of your hero (he will only use it than whan you demand him to)
- use purifying final (I haven't tried it out yet as I use the above method but according to alot of people this is a nice way to counter it)
-don't use condition removal skills on your heros (ok stopid thing to do but it works ;-p)
-use some other way to remove the condition yourself (grab a monk remove skill or that rit weapon spell (forgot the name sry) )

Don't use hero monks. I'm not sure why you'd waste a hero slot on a monk when you could bring a more specialized roll instead.

I think racthoh just meant that henchy monks, such as Mehnlo, would would fine. The protection henchmen do a fairly good job too. Henchies only offer fairly common builds, thus you want to save the builds you really need that are unique for your heroes. Paragon and rit build are great examples of this.

If you're going for Guardian then I see no reason why you would want to bring hero monks. I did all of Elona without bringing them except for the missions that needed them.

Expanding on this because there is a little more to it. The only reason I want a hero monk is for Shield of Absorption and hex removal, to a lesser extent Aegis + Prot Spirit, and even still that's only if the rest of the group is composed of humans so I have to take hero monks.
The only condition remover worth taking on a hero monk is Mend Ailment because of the potential big heal caused by lots of degen. Dismiss is good, but the hero won't check for an enchantment to get the heal off it as well. The only conditions worth caring about are Blind and Daze. Blind is applied faster than you can realistically take it off with a single spot removal. Daze is going to sit pretty much until it expires, not to mention if it is on the AI monk there is no hope of getting it off. They'll continue to try and cast through it until their energy is depleted. Spotless Soul is an option with the 1/4 cast; it'll keep a physical clean of blind fairly well and has the best chance of curing daze despite the double cast and easily interrupted. Also with a 12 second recharge the hero monk can't waste all their energy.
Party heals > the other conditions in PvE.
If you're worried about conditions you bring Song of Purification. As far as I'm concerned it's the only condition removal worth putting on any AI. It will outperform any of the other removals on the problem conditions and cleans up any degen as it gets applied.

Cautery Signet is good against Words of Madness so your casters aren't handicapped while Abaddon is vulnerable, and because you get so many morale boosts that ugly 15 second recharge isn't too much of a problem. Sogolon wins that mission singlehandedly.
